Some days I just feel so old! My knees ache, I'm tired and my energy is totally zapped. I wonder why am I doing all this exercising? What is the use - I will never be that hot twenty two year old again! I know I am ranting, but that is what I need today. Some days I just hate getting old....
And then I watch the biggest loser and see SIXTY year olds losing hundreds of pounds and feeling great. Pushing themselves and they are OLD!! :) And then Gary comes home from his holiday run (8 miles) up the Fishkill hill and tells me how Fred (72 years old) was there and running too. Age is relative.
Yea, it is harder as you get older, and you youngsters really don't grasp that (Ginny and Val!!). But I have to push on. Look back to learn and look ahead with positiveness. The years go by so fast and I want to look back on pushing 50 as a good thing. Val, my advise is to take advantage of your age as you will never be 28 again.

ReplyDeleteWe need to find some 60 year olds to tell us the same thing "Deb take advantage of you age, as you will never be in your 40s again" .... Hard to know how to do that except to run!
