Cheerio!

Hello from England!!!

Sorry that I haven't been able to post much while I've been abroad.  Work has been busy and the time change has been a bit rough.

England has been great though!  Funny enough, they had beautiful weather for all of November and the day before I got here it went down the drain.  It has been cold and raining for three days straight here.  The second night we had an incredible hail storm.  I have never seen anything like it.  In New England it's either rain or snow and not usually in between.

Despite all of that I managed to make it to the gym and do a 4mile run!  :)  The AZ gym is quite nice here.  I had to bribe them to let me "test" it our for a day since everyone else has to pay a monthly fee to gain access to the gym.  It felt nice to shake the cobwebs off after so much traveling.

I don't know if it was the exercise or just that I have been over here a couple of days now but I finally feel like I'm not jet-lagged anymore.  Just in time as I fly back to the states tomorrow :)

Signing off for now,
Val

  1. I finally figured out how to post a comment. Hi Val - It's great to hear that you were able to find time and a place to run while abroad. It probably did help with the jet lag. I'm also looking forward to the half marathon in April. Hopefully it will motivate me to keep up the training throughout the winter months. Mom (Deb) has established a strong base by mixing in running and some weight training. I'm proud of her as she has made it part of her daily routine. I know that Greg is also training in secret so it should be a great time in April. For December, we need make time for the training so that we avoid the 7 pound weight gain that they say is average for people over the Holidays. To maintain over the next month will be a victory.
