Breaking the Silence

So it's been a couple days since I've posted which for me equates to a couple days since I've run.  So I'm going to make an effort to post even if I don't run.

Congrats to mom on joining a gym!  I know what a huge step this is for her and I think it will impact her training immensely.

So December goals....I'm in on the water challenge with Mom.  For me I'd like to start running before work.  My goal in December is to do this once a week.  I know, that doesn't seem like much of a challenge but believe me it is when you are getting in to work at 7-7:30am everyday.

I also want to run four times a week.  For me, anything more than that is giving me a lower return on investment.  That doesn't mean I can't cross-train in between!  I'm going to try to get Greg to come to spin class with me.  I have always loved spin, Ginny I highly suggest getting the shoes if you haven't already.  I think Greg would also enjoy it!

So today is a three mile run for me...I plan to do it after work and I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.  Tomorrow am is my longer run, which at this point in my training means 4 miles.  Don't worry it quickly goes up  :)

  2. On the shoes. My theory is without them I have to work harder and thus burn more calories.
